A dangerous rhythm and blues ROADHOUSE band featuring a smokin’ Hammond B3 organ and THE LEGENDARY BULL HORNS, a slammin’, “take no prisoners” horn section. Playing a repertoire of soul, funk, rhythm and blues, and swing ! RAIDER EDDIE, known as THE NEW ENGLAND RADIATORS, has been thrilling crowds throught New England since 1983. The Charles Neville/Skeletones Big Band was started in Montgomery MA in 2002 when furrier Jeff Houston introduced members of the New England Swing Orchestra to New Orleans saxophonist Charles Neville. The band began playing R&B and swing songs as well as arrangements of tunes from New Orleans.
Utilizing Massachusttes Cultural Council grants, his band has performed annually at the Gateway Performance Center in Huntington for 10 years as well as many appearing at Westfield State College on 5 occaisions.
During the past several years, this band has incorporated more musical arrangements from New Orleans, trending toward a more improvisational style.
Also in 2016, the band developed a sextet format as well incorporating trumpet, saxophone, keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums.
