The Tequila Amigoes were formed without rehearsal on the Greenfield Comcast Homegrown Show in 2006. This presentation was planned as a Tijuana Brass Tribute. View this video below.
The origianal members are:
Earb Alpert: trumpets
Mangy Mangione: trumpets
Bone Ranger: trombone
Baja Marimba: marimba
El Kabong: guitar
Manuel Labor: drums
After mastering the known Tijuana Brass library, the band added:
Stanuel Getz on saxophone and
Astrid Gilberto on vocals in 2012.
With this lineup, the band began mastering the music of Xavier Cugat (1930s) classic Brazilian Samba music of Antonio Carlos Jobim (1960s), and the Bay Area music of Carlos Santana and the band War (1970s).
The Tequila Amigoes have performed all over Massachusetts including the towns of Norwood, Westwood, Ludlow, Granville, Warwick, Hubbardston, Liecester, Brookfield, Bridgewater, and East Brookfield.
