Robert "Bob" Pierce

We would like to pay tribute to longtime friend and drummer Robert "Bob" Pierce. Bob started with New England Live Music groups back in 1990 with the Radiators.

Bob grew up in Orange, graduating from Ralph C. Mahar Regional School in 1979. While at Mahar, Bob excelled at playing drums.

His great drumming continued through the years with New England Live Music groups, including the Skeletones, the Radiators, Blues Brothers Briefcase, and the New England Swing Orchestra.

Bob's love of drumming had him participating in other local bands, including Uncle Jack's, the Vultures, Shaking All Over, the Dave Rivers Band, and the Al Plotkin Band.

Besides playing drums, which started at age two, Bob enjoyed riding his bicycle, especially with his daughter Emily, and had started teaching Corbin bike safety, and he also loved animals and spending time with friends.

Our hearts go out to his loving wife of 28 years Nancy and the rest of Bob's family.

Donations in Bob's memory are suggested to either the Town of Athol, memo North Quabbin Animal Shelter- Robert Peirce, c/o Athol Police Dept., 280 Exchange Street, Athol, MA 01331 or to the Patient Assistant Fund, Care of Yanky Dialysis, 115 Wildwood Ave,Greenfield, Ma. 01301
